Placement

More than 5000 Engineering and Management students are placed every year with decent salary packages in 350 plus Multinational and Transnational companies which in turn will recruit our design students. Placement happens in
3 tiers- Regional, Zonal and National.

Faculty

Faculty members are well-experienced and are alumni of NID and NIFT. There are 10 regular faculty members and 15 adjunct faculty members coming from Pan India. The peer group is absolutely a cosmo peer group that will help the students towards gaining cross-cultural experience which will help them in the future to work in any part of the world.

Ritesh Singh-Associate Dean
A fashion and Textile Designer from NIFT (Gandhinagar) continues his journey with his love and passion for handloom and handicrafts and holds over 25 Fashion shows under his name at the National and International levels. He is the Design head at “Garvi Gurjari” (GSHHDC) and an advisor at “SEWA”. His passion for Design Education is
witnessed by many Design Colleges across India.

Narendra Patel
Visual Communication (Animation)

Graduated in fine art in 1973, Concluded his M Des. In visual communication (Animation Film) from NID-1980 Credit also goes to him to become the first graduate and first professor in animation film in India. Being the only qualified animation designer, he served as a faculty at NID & contribute to developing Animation Film Course at NID. He has been an outstanding design professional known for many landmark projects, animated advertisements & promotional films. He is known for his in-depth services in graphics, branding, packaging, exhibition, web
designing, user interface, and software development. His presence is seen in many premium Design institutions starting from NID, DA-IICT(Gandhinagar), IICD (Jaipur), and NIRMA University (Ahmedabad). He believes “Designing is more challenging today due to rapidly changing technology & material science. we also need to keep synchronized our knowledge with the growing challenges in the Indian industry.”

Vasav Bhatt
Architect & Interior Designer

An Architect with experience of working with legendary personalities like Mr. A.D.Raje & Padmashree r.B.V.Doshi, served in a vast versatile field of Architecture & Urban Planning. He has proven his mark with his belief “The best buildings spring from their surroundings, both natural and cultural as well from people who will occupy them. The purpose of our work is to create harmonious buildings and to make the act of dwelling
both publicly & privately more meaningful.” His contribution to Architecture & Interior spaces speak by itself on his belief. He is known as an educator as well as an expert on the “Art of Detailing in Design”. He has been contributing his expertise in many Design education institutions of repute on key areas of working drawings, design studios & final-year Design projects. His work speaks for his personality as an Architect, Designer & Educator.

Minal Patel
Architect & Town Planner

Architect, Urbanist, and Academician in the field of Architecture and Urban Design and Planning for the last 30 years. She started her journey as an academician in 2007 while on board of studies at Nirma University & Ganpat University School of Architecture. Involved with IED, V.V. Nagar as Urban Planning Head, worked
with UID as PG program Head, Faculty at CEPT in Urban Planning Housing, and involved with teaching and as jury at SVIT Vasad, SMAID V.nagar in various capacities.

Vijay Tiwari
Textile Design

Design Graduate from NIFT (Gandhinagar) B.Des. has over 13 years of experience in the Fashion industry and education. He has created a benchmark in Woven Handloom Fabrics for Varanasi Weaver’s Project 2008 with a great collection of wearables. Students’ favorite design mentors at various design colleges in India and senior visiting faculty at NIFT (Gandhinagar).

Shalini Tripathi
Textile Design/ Ceramic & Glass Design

Energetic Designer from NIFT (Gandhinagar) B Des. Textile Design, & M Des. NID (Ahmedabad) Ceramic and Glass Design, has been exploring Design Professional & Education for more than seven years. She has worked with different companies in Apparel and textile sectors Tiles and Design sectors, also been involved with companies
planning long-term Design strategies for start-ups in India on different platforms like online education, health, and sustainability. She has her own Visual Communication one-stop solution company & actively involved as visiting Faculty at NIFT Gandhinagar.

Neha Sahai
Indian Artist and Design Mentor

Painting her whimsical world of wildflowers, forests, and love stories of fish falling in love with a bird or a moth falling for a moon. She is a self-taught artist with a design degree, she started painting at the age of 33. She is inspired by a tribal art form – “Gond art” where art tells folklore and is articulated with different strokes of lines and dots. The bold use of colors in her artwork is also something very indigenous to her
culture. She paints a whimsical world not to escape reality but to be able to live in it. She cherishes her childhood memories of living amongst the tree and wishes that future generations could cherish them too. All the proceeds from her artwork go to planting trees, so no other soul cries over a leafless tree.

Shaifali Desai
Multi-Disciplinary Design Professional and Educator

With over 3 decades of multidisciplinary experience as a design professional and educator, currently Shaifali Desai leads the craft vertical as Strategic Consultant and Mentor at SEWA Cooperative Federation, to support and enable grassroots women’s handicraft cooperatives and collective enterprises to become viable. With a background in Art and Design from Sheth C.N College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad combined with the experience of strategic liasoning, partnerships, and collaborations with Govt/ Semi Govt, Corporates, academicians, creative personnel, and bureaucrat on National and International platforms, design insights as well as strategic business- related inputs. She has been instrumental in setting up a design center and a Common Facility Centre to support artisan activities She has also been instrumental in creating backward and forward linkages for these grassroots women’s enterprises.

Anjana Singh
Fashion & Textile Design

A fashion Design graduate from NIFT, Kangra. Having proficiency in surface design techniques and fabric handling.
Worked for renowned fashion brands over the years for the international market. Design head for leading brands. Assistant Creative Director and lead costume designer for renowned television shows and OTT platforms.

Neer Shah
Furniture & Product Design

A Product Design Graduate from UID, with key expertise in Furniture and Interior Products. He holds 5 years of experience in the Furniture industry. With an innate sense of relevant & trending designs, he has collaborated with National and International brands for furniture design & export. He also holds Ajay Shankar Memorial Award 2017- the award for best design. With experience, passion, and dedication to designing, he aims to share his knowledge & expertise with design students.

Darshan Jogi
Architect & Interior Designer

Architect from Faculty of Design, CEPT Ahmedabad. He has worked in the domain of design user research, concept generation & Interior Design project management. His teaching experience of 10 years in design colleges like NIFT Gandhinagar, Nirma, and CEPT. Ahmedabad. He has cultivated the ability to be intuitive, to recognize patterns, and to construct ideas that are emotionally meaningful as well as functional. His ability to express himself through various means that are beyond words or symbols is a plus. His awareness of inspiration, idealization & implementation gives him the strength to break through the complex maze of making things in a new way. The same phenomenon is applicable to design thinking.
