Mody University believes in teaching the students about the Indian culture and restoring traditions. Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge, a perfect example of our belief. The University was established in the year 2004 by Shri. R P Mody. He is a true visionary who took an idea ahead of his time and founded Mody University exclusively for girls. His philanthropic attributes, operated in terms of social and psychological promotion of the women community, led him to impart his proposed vision through practical infrastructure.

The Mody University is a private university aimed at helping the girl population avail quality education with world-class techniques in an IT-savvy environment. The first year Foundation Programme introduces students to the fundamentals of design and helps develop ways of perception, aesthetic sensitivity, understanding of the multidisciplinary nature of design and relationship of design with human senses and emotions, socio-cultural aspect, environment and Mother Nature.

Second and third year are the intermediate for core courses and fourth year is reserved for developing product range specialization in an area of choice with an internship. B. DES. FASHION DESIGN

The program inculcates an in-depth knowledge of the widespread fashion design process and helps the students to acquire cutting-edge skills to provide impactful design solutions to perpetually evolving Apparel Industry. The dynamic design pedagogy & able guidance of experts helps students to strengthen their awareness of the fashion clothing industry & identify the domain and function where they can contribute the most.

The course equips the students with the methodical understanding of form, material & technologies to provide sustainable design solutions and endorse the idea of originality. The learning environment provides opportunities to communicate their artistic expression & experimentation through clothing. It also encourages each and every student to access & nurture their own natural sense of flair & creativity.

The program is designed to challenge and inspire aspirants by incorporating creative, technical, and theoretical elements into a hands-on approach to the Fashion Design.

B.DES. TEXTILE DESIGN

The program covers an advanced study of the concepts and various imperative processes of textile designing including embroidery techniques, printing techniques, fabric weaving methods, various knitting techniques and fabric dyeing techniques.
The course will also encourage the students to learn cultural heritage, socio-economic, environmental concerns impacting and influencing the use of textile materials for sustainable future.
The course offers numerous gainful employment opportunities in the textile manufacturing industry such as fabric specialist and textile designer.

B.DES. FASHION MERCHANDISING

This highly specialized program prepares students for a career in merchandising established fashion industry. The course aims to nurture students with thorough knowledge of global fashion market, market research, strategic planning and production process, material sourcing, costing, supply chain management, range planning and distribution, marketing & merchandising, visual merchandising, sales analysis and profit management.

The course helps students to develop entrepreneurship skills, innovation, customer enchantment, planning management skills to sail through the rigorous industry environment.

The industry interlaced curriculum provides students with thorough fashion awareness & business acumen in the area of merchandising, which makes them highly employable.

BACHELOR OF VISUAL ARTS

To live and to create an atmosphere of harmony is the very requirement of the time in society. Artists are known for the same cause.

Our vision is to harmonize the society through its most modern art and artists. Painting, Sculpture, Applied, Print and Graphic design are the core areas of Visual Arts moreover it needs to be treated in the most contemporary manner where a direct bridge can be created to the industry.

We at the department teach the fine art in such a way that it can serve to masses and not limited to niche segment only.
Digital version of Painting, Sculpture, Applied and Print play a very crucial role for the same, our pedagogy follows this pattern while keeping all the classical methodology. For example painting on canvas may be single piece and will serve in limitation whereas on screen through digital format gives you more freedom to explore and to reach masses.

B.DES. GRAPHICS AND COMMUNICATION DESIGN

This program prepares graduating students to apply the basic principles of design to resolve wide range of real world communication challenges across numerous types & forms of media.
The program offers understudies a brilliant occasion to seek after expert advancement in graphics, illustration, sequential art, typography, image processing, motion graphics, and narration.

Students will learn how to build, analyse, and evaluate digital products & services. The competencies this program strives to develop in aspirants blend technical comprehension with research methodologies to develop a unique conceptual approach to problem-solving.

The key elements of the program place focuses on originality and conceptual development. Students work with conventional print media along with modern digital forms.

B.DES. FASHION AND LIFESTYLE ACCESSORIES DESIGN

The program lays the foundation for research, design, development & realization of fashion and lifestyle accessory products to cater to global fashion market requirements.

The course will help aspiring designers to develop comprehensive understanding of the product development process, from the ideation to the finished 3D prototype, considering consumer predilections & industry briefs.

The program will nurture holistic understanding of fashion & lifestyle accessories industry and related business platforms. Students pursuing this course will develop an insight of industrial environment and help them identify their precise function in specific area of marketplace.

The course structure steadily trains the students to develop critical thinking over design and technology. It also endorses students to create sustainable & cost-effective design solutions (accessory & related products) using ethical resources.

B.DES. USER EXPERIENCE (UX)

The UX design industry is a sunrise industry growing at a fast pace owing to the growth in the digital economy. It is the design of digital products which combines arts, science, psychology and technology.

The program will enable the student to delve deep into the design framework and understand how user experience fits into research, design and product creation. The student will learn UX design tools and techniques as practised in the industry empowering them with good analytical, thinking and innovative abilities, skilled with specific techniques, creative in their solutions and knowledgeable about the latest development in the field of user experience.

The curriculum is designed to focus on overall student development with a mix of classroom assignments, practical fieldwork, live industry projects, internships and shadow learning under an industry mentor.

We endeavour to build new-age professionals who can design for users of the future and have an understanding of designing digital processes for future businesses with problem-solving techniques and encourage innovation. Our objective is to train our students in implementing the digital design process, enabling them to become change-leaders and front-runners in driving digital transformation in the industry.

M.DES. FASHION DESIGN

The course aims to produce dynamic design professionals who can face the challenges of the ever-changing fashion industry. It equips students with strong creative and applied skills related to the field of fashion, which empower them to adapt to an evolving fashion biosphere.
The curriculum is adopted to incorporates combination of experiential learning and hands-on training that enables integrated development. The course is designed to nurture students to apply sustainable, ergonomic and interactive design principles to create best solutions for environmental, economic and social wellbeing.

M. DES. FASHION MERCHANDISING

To develop world class professionals in the area of fashion marketing management, merchandising, and retailing to produce future entrepreneurs.
Students undergo in-depth education in marketing management, buying, merchandising, retail operations, international trade practices, project formulation, and entrepreneurship. Students are exposed to creative merchandising & marketing, innovative fashion management practices, case studies, sustainability, directions of fashion trends and business practices through field visits and industry internships.

M. DES. TEXTILE DESIGN

The course equips students with knowledge and hones their creativity and understanding of design application for the textile & design industry. Weaving, print design and surface embellishment are the core textile subjects, using both hand and CAD skills, to impart an extensive and versatile training for the students.

This program aims to provide a holistic approach to the development of students into thought leaders and enable them to solve complex and challenging problems in the Textile & Design Industry. The program commences with the fundamentals of textile design and culminates in the deeper research in the relevant areas.

The curriculum emphasizes on building a variety of skills, in combination with theoretical knowledge & practical application. Exposure to all levels of industrial and craft production is given through field visits and training with industry.

M.DES. USER EXPERIENCE (UX)

The field of UX design is becoming an omnipresent entity in almost every industry, ranging from agriculture to healthcare. The program is focused on practical-based training. It involves a deep dive into the design framework along with intensive hands-on training on implementing UX design tools and techniques. The course structure and curriculum has been exclusively designed and curated in collaboration with industry mentors giving practical and performance-driven learning. It equips them with industry-relevant skills in UX design with design concepts, building their creative confidence and strategic thinking ability to become thorough, creative professionals.

The learning environment provides opportunities to have comprehensive development of their creative prowess and enables them to become agile, resilient and experienced professionals. Selection of candidate is strictly on merit basis. She must be a 10+2 pass candidate with minimum 45% marks for taking admission in any of the U.G. Programmes and a minimum of 55% in graduation for all the PG Programmes.

CENTRAL LIBRARY

The Mody University Library System comprises of a Central Library that collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. The CENTRAL-Library is a very special place in the MUST Campus with its rich collection of books and journals in the field of Engineering, Science , Technology, Management, Law, Fashion Design ,Architecture and related areas. The efficiency and effectiveness of our electronic resources and our professional services. The Library stands as a unique Knowledge Centre that offers access to essential and specialized information resources and services to meet the growing information needs. Library operations are automated using Libsys Library Management Software. The Library currently houses over 64,948 Volumes of books and 13,545 e-books. The Library Subscribes 161 numbers of National and International Journals and magazines. The Library provides access to e-journals, databases like IEEE, EBSCO, J-Gate, Manupatra, CMIE, DELNET and WGSN etc. Oher resources include Videos, Audios, CDs, DVD, Question Papers, Thesis and Project Reports. Being fully computerised with 3M Security, it provides seamless access too many user oriented services and e- resources round the clock. Our mission is to enhance and enable discovery through the effective utilization of information resources.

TAPOVAN

Spirituality is the key to unlock the potential of the human mind. Spirituality allows for strengthening intuition, creativity, and inspiration so that one can be guided towards the life and work that they will find most rewarding. All aspects of the campus are designed to allow for students and faculty to look inwards and strengthen their inner voice, to make them strong and fulfilled individuals following the path that suits them the best. Without the cultivation of the mind and of this inner voice, much of education and the learning process is incomplete. The magnificence of the buildings, the proximity to nature, the stillness and peace that can be found amidst the daily hustle bustle are some of the most compelling factors to study at Mody University. Tapovan, Meditation Hall and the Buddhist Grove are abodes of tranquility providing sanctuaries for peaceful study, relaxation and contemplation. Tapovan is an architectural marvel where you can put your faith into practice. The central temple of Ramadarabara is designed in the shape of a lotus with the extension of a ‘Yajna-Shala’ and a serene ‘Meditation Hall’. It is spread over eight acres and is truly a haven of spirituality. At ‘Yajna-Shala’, seven different kinds of vedic yajnas are performed by priests from 6 am to 7 am for each of the seven days of the week. A seven-day vedic yajna is performed every year under guidance of trained vedic scholars from different parts of the country to create awareness among the students about Indian Vedas and our rich traditions. The majestic temple remains open from 5 am to 11 am and from 5 pm to 8.30 pm. Grand celebrations are organized on the occasions of Ram Navami, Vijayadashami, Janmashtami, Diwali and other major festivals. They are attended by students, parents, faculty, guests and other people at Mody University.The serene Meditation Hall, with a sitting arrangement for about 200 people, is open for everyone who wishes to practice meditation and self-analysis. Classes for Yoga and meditation are also run by trained teachers on a regular basis for both students and faculty. Guiding sessions by renowned spiritual gurus are regularly conducted in the meditation hall. During weekends, award-winning documentaries are broadcast encompassing various aspects of spirituality, nature and social issues.

In addition, there are various Shilalekhs across the campus with spiritual quotations taken from the Vedas and other scriptures. The life-size statues and busts of great ancient saints, located at different parts of the campus, infuse the whole campus life with the presence of divinity. Mody University is gifted with religious and cultural diversity. This provides the chance to make deep friendship with people of other faiths and learn more about their traditions. There are various academic courses in Sanskrit, Indian Philosophy and Vedic Astrology for students who wish to pursue higher education in the spiritual sphere. Realizing the need to expand the circle of faith towards international understanding of ONE RELIGION, the University offers a certificate and diploma course for foreign students as well. It not only provides an excellent opportunity to create an inter-religious dialogue but also synthesizes the eastern and western understandings of religion.

AUDITORIUM COMPLEX

The magnificent auditorium at Mody University is unique and one of the best auditoriums around the country. The auditorium is designed in such a way that it ensures a perfect view of the main stage irrespective of the seating location of the audience. The monumental stage of the auditorium is a very good platform for the students of the university to showcase their multiple talents in the field of theatre, drama, dance and different cultural programs.

As Mody University is not only for boarders and there are also daily scholars who come to study here, mention of its transportation facilities becomes mandatory.

• Mody University has its own fleet of 5 buses that are available for the pick and drop of the daily comers and also for emergency situations of the boarders.
• Along with buses, there are also three vans available 24*7 within the campus.
• The transport moves within and even outside the campus whenever required.
• This facility is a must for the pick and drop of the daily comers.
• In case, the boarders need to move out in an emergency, shuttle facilities are available for such situations.
