About LPUNEST

Lovely Professional University is conducting National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) for admission in 150+ programs. Since its inception in 2009, more than 75,000 students are appearing in this exam (LPUNEST) every year. Students who completed or appeared in 10+2 or Graduation can apply for LPUNEST. LPUNESTwill is conducted in a university-designated test center online mode (Pen and Paper Mode test is not allowed) as per the schedule mentioned on the university website: www.lpu.in. This test will have a two-fold advantage as it will act as an Entrance as well as a Scholarship.

Entrance Test: LPUNESTwill provide a gateway to Design programs in LPU and will act as an entrance test for admission in these Programmes at LPU

Scholarship: LPU envisages ushering an era of accessible and affordable quality higher education to the youth of our country, as on the basis of LPUNESTscore, the university intends to award extensive scholarships of options. 4.8 lac per student.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

a.) Qualifying Examination: Applicants appearing for LPUNESTshould have either completed or shall be appearing,

• For UG Programmes: In Final examination of 10+2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education. (COBSE) New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.
• For PG Programmes: In final examination of Graduation from Institution, College, University recognised by UGC (University

b.) Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination:

• UG Design Programmes:-Applicant should score 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.
• PG Design Programmes:- Applicant should score 50% aggregate marks in graduation or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNESTFor relevant subjects and qualification details for each programme, refer university website www.lpu.in

c.) Selection Criteria: – The selection criteria for UG Design and PG Design programmes for Indian Applicants: Merit in LPUNEST, subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria

Scholarship & Financial Aid

a.) Overview

• Lovely Professional University strongly believes in the fact thatmonetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So, the University extends Scholarship Scheme which is an initiative by the University to cultivate the talent of students that may be hidden due to financial constraints. Scholarship can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D
• Scholarship Categories: Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance on any of the following categories:
  1. Eligibility Qualification/ Qualification previous to Eligibility Qualification
  2. LPU’s Entrance and Scholarship Test : LPUNEST
  3. Certain National Level Entrance Tests (UCEED, NIFT Entrance Exam, NID DAT, CEED
• Scholarship Brackets: For each category mentioned, three brackets of Scholarship (Bracket 1, 2 and 3) are defined. Each bracket has its own respective criteria which need to be met for availing of the applicable scholarship. Therefore, the students meeting the requirement of Bracket- 1 get the highest Scholarship and those in Bracket – 2 or 3 get a relatively lesser scholarship.
• Scholarship Phases: The amount of Scholarship also depends on the Phase in which the candidate takes admission to the university. Phase – I start as early as December 2021 and continue till the end of April 2022. The subsequent phases are conducted only if the seats in the concerned Programme remain vacant. Admissions in LPU are done in different Phases, which are bifurcations of the admission time period. The amount of Scholarship reduces with each passing phase and no Scholarship is offered in subsequent phases (if conducted). c.) Other Scholarships/ Financial Aid offered by the University
Apart from the scholarship on the basis of LPUNEST/ Qualifying Examination/ Qualification previous to Eligibility Qualification explained above, LPU also offers scholarship and financial aid in the following areas

• Scholarship on the basis of Performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular activities, Social Service and Bravery Awards
• Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board (for UG Design only)
• Financial Aid – Need-Based y Financial Aid for Serving/ Retired Defence/ CAPF/ Para- Military personnel and their dependents
• Financial Aid to Orphan (for UG Design only)
• Financial Aid to Persons with Certain Disability

How to Apply

Application forms can be obtained and submitted using one of the following methods:
a.) Option I- Online Mode
Visit admissions.lpu.in and complete the following steps:

• Step 1 – Sign Up :Register onto LPUADMIT(admission.lpu.in) with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password).
• Step 2 – Payment for LPUNEST Kit:-The cost of the LPUNEST Kit needs to be paid by the applicant as per his/ her choice. The payment can be made using Online banking/Credit card/debit card / UPI.
  Application Fee:-
  1. Soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is `1000 (for Boys) and `500 (for Girls).
  2. Printed LPUNEST Kit is `1500 (for Boys) and `1000 (for Girls).
• Step 3: General Information and Qualification details :-The application form details like aadhar card number, address details and qualification details need to be filled by the applicant
• Step 4:Exam Information:- Applicant needs to book the slot (preferred venue, date and time as per their choice) to appear in the LPUNEST Exam.
  Applicants can also download the hall ticket from the portal.
• After qualifying LPUNEST, an applicant can proceed with the counseling process for the UG Design program, and for the PG Design program, an applicant can proceed with the admission process.

b.) Option-II: Offline Mode

• LPUNEST Kit may be obtained by the applicant from the University Campus or any other prescribed place by paying cash.
  Application Fee: – Cost of Application form of LPUNEST Kit is `1000 (for Boys) and `500 (for Girls) from University Campus or any other prescribed place by paying cash.
  Once the applicant has obtained the LPUNEST Kit, the application form can be submitted by one of the following methods:
  1. Manual Application: Fill out the full application form (OMR sheet) after reading all the instructions as specified under the head “Instructions for filling Application Form (OMR sheet)” and send it to the university in the self-addressed envelope on the following

  2. Semi-Offline Application: In case the applicant is unable to send the hard copy of the application form (OMR Sheet), then the applicant may scratch the Unique OMR code available on the application form(OMR Sheet) and follow the below mentioned steps:
     • Sign up on LPU ADMIT portal (admission.lpu.in)
     • When prompted for payment, choose the option of Unique OMR Code (given on OMR Sheet)and fill the same.
     • After successful submission of the online application form, refer the step- 3 of the Online Mode option as mentioned above
