D J Academy of Design
The D J Academy of Design belongs to the illustrious GKD Charity Trust, set up in 1983 by the industrialist par excellence, (Late) Cavalier Dr. G.K.Devarajulu. His pioneering efforts saw the emergence of Coimbatore on the global industrial map and the LMW Group as a major force to reckon with. The Group now comprises a staggering 20 companies with LMW being the flagship brand.
The D J Academy is carrying forward the legacy of Dr. G.K. Devarajulu in the noble sphere of education. The Academy has two wings – The D J Academy for Managerial Excellence (DJAME) and D J Academy of Design (DJAD). It is a remarkable initiative towards harnessing the potential of future Managers and Designers.
Senior Faculty members who are experienced in teaching at National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, handle most of the courses at D J Academy of Design. Apart from that, practicing Design Professionals are also involved in teaching here as visiting Faculty.
Admission Procedure
Admission for Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programmes are offered to students on the basis of the scores obtained in the Entrance Examination conducted by DJ Academy of Design in the major metropolitan cities across the country followed by a personal interview conducted at the campus in Coimbatore.
Scores obtained in the Entrance Examination conducted by NID, Ahmedabad will also be considered for admission at DJAD.
Score of CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design) I.I.T. would be considered for entry into Post Graduate Programmes at DJAD.

The Entrance Examinations will test the design aptitude of applicants with the objective of measuring their skills in Sketching, Visualisation, Creativity, Colour and Mechanical Comprehension.
The students who qualify for personal interview must present a portfolio of their work to the panel of selection jury/judge. Portfolio could include any creative work done by the student (such as drawings, paintings, photographs, films/Videos made by the student, craft work, project, models, written work such as articles, stories, essays, poems, etc.)

- Tuition Fee for Other Foreign Students: Us$ 9000 per annum. Rest of the fees remain same as Indian students Fees are likely to increase every year.
- Fees can be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favour of D.J. Academy of Design payable at Coimbatore or can make direct payment through Indian Bank, Pappanaickenpalayam Branch having IFS Code No. IDIB 000P018 and Account No. 471015136.
