TThe domain of Fine Arts at LPU fuels creativity and experimentation of the young minds sharpening their visualization and aesthetic sensibilities. It introduces them to the realm of limitless possibilities using diverse mediums of creative expression such as painting, commercial design, printmaking, sculpture and photography and latest software. Its industry and research oriented curricula is enriched with workshops, guest lectures and live projects. The department aims to enable the students to evolve a personal pathway and style for their creative expression.
Department of Fine Arts was introduced at LPU in the year 2008 which offered a four year professional BFA program in Applied Art specialization. The department extended its scope by introducing specialization in Painting in 2011; while the specialization of Sculpture was introduced in 2013 for both BFA and MFA programs. Presently, it offers BFA program in four specializations i.e. Applied Art, Painting, Sculpture and Photography and MFA program with three specializations i.e.Painting, Applied Art, and Sculpture. Same specializations are also offered to those who want to opt for a three year BA Fine Arts program or MA Fine Arts program. The department also promotes research and experimentation through Ph.D. Full-time program and Ph.D. Part-time programs.

Department of Fine art arranged Pata-Chitra Patua Art Workshop in March 2018 that was conducted by Ranjit Chitrakaar and Swarna Chitrakaar (Folk Artist of Kolkata).
